Did you also know that all medical professionals and lawyers and educators are subject to this, and that this is the primary reason why states love having universities that pump out lawyers and nurses and doctors and physical therapists and teachers, because they tend to stay in one state, usually the state in which they first get their certification?

I'll give you a hint: It's the same reason why you can't buy house insurance after your house has already burned down.

Figured it out?
Which I'm inclined to agree with but sadly, the logical conclusion of this line of reasoning is the insurance companies just genetically profiling everyone and then you're fucking over a lot of people... ha, free market eugenics - I love it.

My opinions are totally facts, and you know it!

Still doesn't change the fact that, regardless of who exactly proctors it, certification exams are based around state laws, (In the US, of course)

As a fun aside, did you know that Louisiana law is unique in the US because it draws on the old French system(ie. before Napoleon fixed it).

Re: Health Care Passes the US House!

From my perspective the problem has never been the quality of the actual heath care in America, but the fact that all the infrastructure from heath insurance and the government seems to slow down the process.

To me it has never been a "heath care crisis" but instead a "Health care insurance crisis", and there is most definitely a difference between the two.

I live very close to the Mayo Clinic, which has been at the top of the US and World Report best hospitals for the last twenty years or so. From what I've seen the US is one of the best countries to come to if you need some care for the vast majority of diseases and ailments. When people get seriously sick they come to the United States and quite often to the Mayo Clinic, I get to see plenty of people from other countries constantly coming and going.

Since the beginning of this health care bill the Mayo Clinic has opposed it every step of the way, and I have even heard rumors that Mayo may shut its doors for good once the bill goes into effect, but I cannot confirm that last bit.

To me, if the experts at Mayo, one of the worlds leading hospitals, don't think this bill is the best for our country, well. . . I'm inclined to take their word for it.

Frankly, I don't know enough about the bill, or health care in general (other than I can't afford it right now), but as you said, it's more of a Health Insurance crisis, not a Health Care crisis, so why would you take a doctor's word for it over say, a lawyer's or financial guru's opinion?

(I'm not saying that they say differently, but it just seems misleading and biased to quote doctors for financial advice)

Could you provide a link to back up this assertion? I just googled it and found a story with the opposite statement from Mayo. I was skeptical that the Mayo Clinic would come out against HCR because groups like the AMA and American Hospital Association have been relatively supportive of the bill (or at least as supportive as interested party advocacy groups can be).

There's been so much bullshit flying around from opponents (and a bit from supporters glossing over the rather substantial omissions and warts in the law), it's hard to know what to think.
