Mega Man (The Fan Film)

When I first saw the trailer for this, I was impressed with what the film makers were able to accomplish. Having watched the movie, however... Wow. This isn't a perfect movie, but it's damn good attempt. There's no real need to explain the plot, since it's faithful to the first game in the Mega Man series. Plus, it's summarized under the video in the link; so, yeah. I feel as though I shouldn't be as critical in my opinion for this, seeing how it's a fan film that's been made on a super-low budget. There was definitely a lot of passion for the games that was placed in this project. If you were to ask me to pick out anything that would be the weakest parts of the movie, it would have to be the acting and direction. But what impressed me the most was how well they managed to pull off the costumes for Mega Man, Proto Man and the Robot Masters (three of which were CGI). From what I can tell, they looked like modified motorbike gear. Most of the special effects were a bit weak, but effective for their purposes. I had an "Oh shit!" moment when Bio Devil showed up. This, along with Street Fighter: Legacy, show how much can be done right when you actually pay attention to the source material, and throw things like "realism" out the window. Oh yeah; and not be Uwe Boll. |

For a fan made movie.. that was Bad ass... i really enjoyed it ^.^. I even felt sorry for Wily at the end when he was captured... poor old man. Also Roll was hot :P
