Not that they have much choice, really. Each season is one book, and the wolves start showing up in book three. By the end of the series the main character's brother is a were-panther and I think she is some sort of Anita Blake style hyper-were-creature.

I hear you. Too bad it's easier to make up some fake fangs and blood and poof, you have all you need for a vampire show/movie. Now, add to that formula the nausea of teenage vampires. I can count on my hand the amount of vampire movies I've ever liked. Considering the amount that have been made, that's pretty sad.

Clearly haven't watched enough - go back to Hammer, Fearless Vampire Hunters, Blade, Cronos (by Guillermo del Toro) etc. Plenty of great ones out there. Now the recent Korean one "Thirst" is very interesting too - very different take (not that there's really any TF in it, but a nice variation on a theme).

So has The Gates properly started yet? I remember reading on werewolfforums (that is the name of that site, right? anyways) that there is at least one female character in the show who almost certainly is a werewolf. I don't think they showed off what werewolf transformations looked like in the pilot either, so who knows. Maybe if they get renewed then they'll have to toss in other monster ethnicities just to prolong the zero sum situation.

Don't mind me, I'm just living in my own fantasy world over here.

Probably not the news you fellas are looking for, but a search for the Bitches series will lead- if you look for a bit- to uncovering a couple of sites that list it's status as 'Pilot Denied'. I don't think it's too far-fetched at this point to consider this series dead in the water, as it's two years past its expected date and SOMETHING has made a few TV sites think that the pilot wasn't accepted.

Sad news for all of us... But I guess it would be better to stop getting our hopes up for this particular series after so long.
