Afraid I'm gonna have to disagree with you on both of these counts. While the TF was CGI, it really wasn't bad. And I think the actress playing Nina is a bit homely. Hell yes on the Christa thing though.

Well, in the case of Nina, it's just a matter of different tastes, I suppose. About the CGI, we all know that save the exceptions of very high-budget movies (say Transformers and so), it works much more better "traditional" effects... I don't say that they are bad "per se", just I was comparing the Syfy CGI with the BBC animatronics. And from that point of view, Syfy show sucks big time.

Gotta agree with you there; the English version's TF scene was better, though I don't think they were worlds apart. Crossing my fingers for some sort of female TF, but bearing in mind that it's far more likely not or that the show will be canceled first.

I hope so, they are notorious for cancelling shows "with no remorse"... I'd love to watch another female werewolf transformation, even though it was made by CGI

I'm gonna agree with Jitensha. As long as the characters and story are decent, the concept can run well regardless of the fancy animation.

It was... actually not bad. Please keep in mind that I haven't seen the original British version of the series beyond the transformation scenes, but on its own merits this just wasn't bad at all. I'm really hoping they stick to the Nina plot, because that would make an already intriguing show hook me.
