Unhappy Question.

I have to know, is it a bad thing to want happy endings to come to victims of TF, instead of them ending up as mindless animals?

No. I prefer reversions in my TF. The appeal for me isn't in trapping someone in an undesirable form, only in the process. That's the great thing about weres and some shapeshifters (like the ones in True Blood); you get the human and the mindless beast and you aren't stuck. It can and should still be bad at times (too many werewolf curses around that aren't curses at all), but it doesn't always have to be. There's room for Teen Wolf and Wolfman.

Re: Question.

No it's a good thing to have opinions. Happy Ending, Downer Ending their is plenty of room for both, heck you don't even have to like just one. And TFs don't need to end with mindless animals, or even involve transformation into mindless animals.

Is it a bad thing that I like vanilla ice cream instead of chocolate ice cream?

Seriously, it's just a matter of taste, and as Xanderfox said, there's plenty of room for everyone. Your enjoyment of happy endings doesn't diminish my enjoyment of downer endings and vice versa. (Just to be clear, I'm okay with either sort of ending).

Re: Question.

I'm another person who prefers, at worst while outright happy at least "Being Human"/Spider-Man style living with the condition trying maintain some semblance of a normal life. Full on animal/monster forever turns me right off.

Re: Question.

I prefer when the mind is not affected, tough not so much of a happy ending. I prefer when the transformed remain aware of its change and loss of humanity. Though it can be interesting if it also develop some alien instinct and behavior due to its animal part.

This. Seriously, I can't believe that you're still stressing and depressed over this. Painful, mindless werewolf TFs are always going to exist. I prefer them that way. But there have and always will be plenty of TFs in which the victim isn't mindless, so I really don't see what you're still worrying so much about. There are others on here who share your taste, and naturally others that don't.
