Did Soty ever claim he was the new Vermeer? Has the TF community -ever- claimed TF art was the new Renaissance of art? Please answer this question. If yes, then maybe this kind of comparison does applies. But if no... then please tell me what even is the point of this borderline trolling comparison? What is it that leads you to troll people over their art and holding it up against standards they -never- claimed to be equal to? What is that leads you to somehow make it a personal -crusade- to belittle people because at some point they did, yes, porn for TF fans because, what do you know, someone was -paying- them for it. And while we're at it, I have news for you. This Vermeers you seem fond of suddenly comparing against an artist who only did a TF sequence for the extra bucks which were helpful at the time... Well, this Vermeers is dead. And so is the culture of art that spawned him. People never pay for symbolic and researched art anymore. They don't care for the next mona lisa for the sake of producing the next mona lisa. They will care for the -money- they can make with the concept design produced. People don't pay people to produce the next mona lisa to amass dust in a museum. They pay for the next mario bros to develop as a character of successful gaming franchise. The next Assassin's Creed main character. The next -commercial- fantasy artist they can hire to cram their roleplaying books full of art. Or the artist that will next produces porn that will cater to their fetish. Your Vermeers... is dead. Since one if not two centuries. Welcome to the commercial age. And that's just covering -professional- artists. Amateurs who never claimed to be professionals don't even need to be involved in this like you seem to be adamant to with the likes of TF artists like Soty. |
