Re: 2 Text adventure games
My only problem with the single player game is there's no way to constantly run into the mutant you wish to submit to. Let's take the drone for example, for ever one I run into I run into 3 hyenas, 4 panthers, 3 huskies, 2 wyvrens, and 3 dovermens before I run into one wasp again. Dirty water is also a fun little random factor...
However, I do really enjoy the game(I have slight problems with some mutations, but that's me and my personal taste), just wish there was a way to seek out certain things. Also, some of the earlier mutants like the latex fox don't feel as developed as some of the other later edition mutants like the panther. ... This game is giving me all sorts of weird new kinks...

Also, your talk of dirty water does remind me: Since the single-player game is coded in Inform, you can abuse the 'undo' command if things aren't going your way. Wrong monster showed up? End combat and undo! Didn't get the mutation from dirty water you wanted? Undo! Lost a stat point from a mistake you just made? Undo! You can even undo multiple actions this way. Just take note that nearly everything is an action, including looking at yourself or your inventory. You might have to undo several times here and there. Seriously. Undo breaks the game. Hard. |
