That kind of thinking is precisely why we have to take five-year-old reprints of printed material, or reposts (which may not even be legal) from ad-saturated paysites, rather than fresh new material. I know you may not agree with me, but I'm tired of being a second-class citizen, relegated to the scraps of those who are willing to pay for premium content. Of course, not everyone is able to put up their hard-earned greenbacks, but when they are, what's the excuse for not paying artists for first-party, quality content, which both mainstreams our community and lets the artist hone an area that may be interesting to them?

EDIT: I'm also frustrated by the number of people who expect premium content to be free. If they're aiming to discourage an artist who's trying desperately to serve the community without starving himself, they should just keep that shit up.
