Something about how huge the teeth are coming out of her mouth and the close-up of a werewolf on the first link.. makes me think of the Company of Wolves tf with the muzzle coming out of the mouth.. yuck. Hope there's a muzzle but not like that.

I agree. I thought the same thing the second I saw the clip.

The other thing that stood out (and I'm getting way out there based on one photo) is that something tells me that this clip might be from a dream/nightmare sequence and this is the best we'll get in the female TF realm. What tells me that, you ask? Notice it appears to be daytime outside. Maybe they're going to go with a twist on the traditional werewolf? I don't know. But, I see that and I picture the following scene: Guy who's hot for the girl falls asleep, starts having this dream, then wakes up screaming in a cold sweat once he sees the fangs. End of sequence.

This way, they satisfy the teen boys with a good ol' fashioned topless scene, but don't have to deliver on an R-Rated TF scene.

Or, maybe I'm just way too jaded at this point.

One thing that seems to stand out is it appears to be daylight outside the window in the background of that picture. If it is and it's not a dream sequence then they're not using the full moon as a trigger. I don't think it's a good sign. I'm worried it'll end up lame like Skinwalkers.

Re: New images from The Howling Reborn.

Just a reminder, but I believe the awesome original Howling transformation was during the day. However, a google search shows a script review of the new movie that talks about multiple dream sequences in the movie, so probably a good call.

It's fascinating to watch THE HOWLING sequels, if only to witness the spectacular de-evolution of quality.

Re: New images from The Howling Reborn.

They actually bounced around a bit. II was possibly the worst movie I've ever seen. III was bizarre camp. IV was really awful. V actually wasn't terrible in a low budget mystery kind of way. VI was inoffensively bad (and the only one besides the original with a half-interesting transformation). And I've never seen VII, but I'm told it was a special brand of low-budget awful possibly rivaling II.

Which is all to say, probably shouldn't get our hopes up!

This is sorta what I'm getting out of this. If that blonde woman transforming there is the same blonde woman in the rest of the screencaps that looks like a real hardass bitch- the one behind the tied up guy, that is- then I'm guessing she's not a cursed individual. What I'm expecting out of this is more romanticized werewolves that change whenever they want, with her being their ring-leader, and for them to be overall treated more like Twilight vampires (so cool, dark, dangerous, etc.) than like movie monsters.

My take on the still is that it looks like they're keeping the transform during sex scene from the first film. Naturally,I could be wrong.

You'd think society was more conservative a generation ago but I think it's prob worse today and cannot see a scene like that being done today, if they did perhaps very minimal or implied with a shadow or something

Yeah, I still have some remaining faith on a director with enough guts to do a werewolf movie as good and scary as the good'ol ones, with the help of the modern technology (but not abusing, I HATE CGI). But we have to see the things as they are, the 80's will not come back

Need we be reminded of Splice and a certain scene (or two) in that movie?

Re: New images from The Howling Reborn.

Splice was a festival darling and borderline art film. This is as mass audience as it gets.
