When should I expect my rejection letter?

Can't speak for TV networks, but I have worked with record labels. If it was unsolicited, odds are you're not going to hear back from them unless they like it. The labels I've worked for have had policies of not acknowledging receipt of demos and refusing to sign for unsolicited packages. You have to be careful or someone who sent in some unsolicited, long-forgotten (or ignored) demo sues because something you did produce bears some superficial resemblance to demo. Acknowledgement gives them more ammo.
