Wow, this is amazing, just amazing. Here's the cast shot from the end of the story, with Copperpot explaining the myth surrounding them. ^_^

So, I heard from some readers that they got turned off at Celia's transformation because it was too gory. I was going for real horror for her in her situation, but did I go too far? Did anyone else quit at Celia's TF?

I didn't quit but it was a bit graphic. (Although at least the legs didn't just get spliced off like in spinnerette by krakow comics.)
That and I think spider hybrids (or spiders) of any kind are a bit creepy.

I didn't read any of it in the mindset of "Ooo, fetishes, let's fap!" So it didn't bother me. I can see how it might ruin someones boner though, if thats why they were reading it.
I think thats a stupid way to go into reading any story though, even fetish ones.

I don't mean "Turned off" in the sense of "I can't fap to this", I mean "turned off" in the sense of "I think I'm going to be sick." One reader told me over chat that if I hadn't asked them to critique it they never would have finished the story because Celia's TF was too gory for them to stomach...

Ah, I didn't get that, no. Maybe I am made of tougher stuff! I can see how it might gross some people out though. I thought it was pretty light compared to some crap I've read that has made me want to wretch.

And then there are the people that like the SAW movies, too. ^^;

Okay, just kinda wanted to test the waters, because the amount of revulsion Woot had for that particular section made me worried.

Yeah, I mean, its definitely not nice but I figured that is what you were going for. Better to write what you want and to hell with everything else.

Re: Dungeon & Dragons & Expansion (BE, TF, MB, FMG)

I haven't visited The Process in a long while but saw this and thought I'd comment.

I really like Sword & Sorcery settings and D&D stories and stuff, so this was kinda nice to read, even if not all of the transformations were really up my alley. I especially like the outfits and clothing, so your attention to that stuff was nifty.

I confess I did get a little squicked by Celia's bit, but hey, I like some things that squick others, so it doesn't bother me too much. I like mental transformations (and I know that's something a lot are very touchy about) so I liked that aspect of Jillian's TF. Overall, I think it was pretty swell (not a pun, I swear)!

Well, again, Celia's TF is supposed to be a little gross, that was kind of her point, to be the bottom of the well in both mental and physical horror. Though I have to admit I find it funny that you single out Jillian's mind control when Rena had- in my opinion- the far scarier and more drastic mental changes.

And how do you mean with the outfits? I thought they were rather plain, myself...

They are fairly plain, I just have a fondness for adventurer attire and such, I dunno, it is part of the setting I like!

Also, Rena's mental change was far more drastic, but there wasn't really awareness of it, or a response to it on her part. She didn't have a moment of realization really. I liked Jillian's bit about "Oh, what a mess" and "I'm sure I could think straight if I wasn't so hungry." It illustrates maybe an awareness of her change. Or stuff like her yelling at Celia to do stuff indicates sort of that she's till *her*, she's just changed.

I dunno, it was just something that I liked! I am not big on the goo stuff either, so on the other side, that scene was a mixed bag for my personal tastes, but it was well done either way.

You do very well, and are certainly head and heels over a lot of folks who try their hand at this. So I guess that is encouragement.

On a side note, I played a Transformation/MC themed D&D game not too long ago with some people over at the Garden. It didn't last very long (scheduling and such was hard) but it was a blast, and this reminded me of that.
