Necromantic: The type of zombie created by a necromancer by drawing power from the negative energy plane into a corpse. Slower than some Plague zombies and less numerous (Unless the Necromancer has had a long time to work on them) these are more dangerous individually because there is no real way to kill them with conventional weapons, you can only chop them into enough pieces that they can't hurt you any more. The best sorts of weapons to deal with Necromantic zombies are blessed bullets, holy swords, silver weapons and sheer faith. Very effective at killing atheists who are unlikely to have access to any of the effective weapons.

Ghouls: These are the worst sorts of conventional zombies, these combine the worst of both sorts of zombie. They are as fast as a quick plague zombie, with the same animal cunning, but have the difficulty to kill as Necromantic Zombies. They are raised by powerful necromancers in place of Necromantic zombies because they can infect, just like plague zombies. Luckily, Ghouls retain the Necromantic vulnerability to holy or silver weapons. The most effective weapons to combat Ghouls with are holy, explosive or mercury filled silver bullets or a blessed silver sword. If attempting to kill with the sword, plate armour is advised to stop them from infecting you.

Next week on the Undead Channel, Soul Corrupting Undead: Wight, Ghost and Vampire!
Too bad holy items don't do you shit with Resident Evil zombies... >_>

For the most part, no ghoul is the undead.
Seen Hellsing? Did they get it right? Wrong? Terribly off?

Sorry, I generally go by Dungeons and Dragons monsters. In D&D, Ghouls are cannibalistic undead.

Anyway, this should probably soon be moved to the transformation area

Back to the original topic, that sequence blackjack posted was decent, if somewhat lacking in artistic qualitiy. Anyone else able to contribute to the growing (heh) body of RE Virus expansion art?

The only true way to kill any form of evil(excluding evil fire monsters, but they tend to not attack all that often) is to purge them.
PURGE THEM WITH FLAMES!!!!

I've got different ways to deal with them:

Trash compactor
Huge laser
Barbara Stresand Laser Disk
The Force
Healing Spells
The Holy Grenade (aaaaaaalleluia.....)
Daemonhammer (see Warhammer 40k) or 'Godsplitter'
Blackhole
Replicants (see Stargate SG-1), organics are no match for nanotech.
An army of Worms with bazookas

And finally an Hadoken.

I wonder what HK-47 would say about them (dead meatbags?)

Hmmmm.... I don't know... I'd have to go with one of those tunnelling machines from Total Recall.... the handheld one for close encounters, and the actual ridable one for en-masse zombies.

A level 16 Life spell will pretty much vaporize an army of zombies in one casting, although the Teleport spell makes for a good substitute if they're susceptible to Matter-type spells.

Hmm... How about a fully automatic rocket launcher that fires flaming chainsaw that explode after embedding themselves in something for a second? Sure, it's not as quick as magic, and the weapon itself could probably only be mounted on a tank, but it'd be really cool and destructive, right?

This thread should probably be shifted to the Transformation boards.

Anyway, magic beats technology for killing zombies. Never seen a zombie get back up after a Lord Of Vermilion spell before. Holy magic is the best though.
