Re: Dark Shadows

I've seen the movie its not that bad, its pretty obvious Tim Burton and his usual gang made a good decent film to watch, its not as good as some of his other works but has a great mix of comedy and action, its pure campy filmmaking. In his interviews ive seen of Depp and the others they said they had a lot of fun making it and in the end thats whats important.
On the werewolf aspect I think it was decently well done though a very short scene in the movie. The daughters anger control shows throughout the whole movie the essence of what she is I think would be how a werewolf lives day to day, a certian degree of "animal instinct and urges" and I do like how she embraces what she is but knows she could be a danger to others reaching a balance in her life. We shouldn't overthink it , this isn't a 2hour animal tf video simply part of a bigger film about monsters and the actress plays it well, she does have a maturity in her acting compared to the disney robots that are out there and I applaud burton for picking a good form, maintaining a more hybrid appearance with her legs and stuff and it dosn't have to be full on nudity to be sexual. Look at american werewolf in paris, we get a horrible cgi nude shot of julie delphy that paled in comparison to the original, we all know hollywood lost its balls for good female werewolves but that movie was an insult, Id much rather see a clothed decently done werewolf chick than a crappy naked one.
