It's not that your point isn't salient, it's that it maybe isn't such a good idea to seem ungracious towards a new contributor whose grasp on English isn't as good as yours... or mine.
I imagine "growth" and "size difference" are covered by a single term, which does nothing to help matters.

I'm not an expert at japanese, but seeing as they have a word that means "shrinking woman" I highly doubt they don't have a word that means growth. If they don't then how do they tell their child they are growing up or that the plants in their garden are growing.

Cultural differences, not necessarily lexicographic ones.
Same reason why the cliché "is that a banana in her pocket..." gets a quizzical head-tilt, where the term "futanari" is met by a variety of facial expressions that depend on the person.
