Water is a natural part of the planet, so don't worry about the flood washing your house away.
BTW, I'm not totally against nuclear. I think thorium is worth a try, to see if it's projected safety benefits are true. Also, a few years ago there were some designs that used helium instead of water to transfer heat. That is a dramatic improvement for several reasons.
