that movie looks bad, I hate the CGI and the story sucks, just the same as any other current influx of super hero movies. And I'm their demographic, I was a kid and loved the show when the original animated series aired in the late 80s

There were a few other females in the Archie comics, though surprisingly no other mutants. Your notice on the first page the fox girl, yep not a mutant, and later a future version of Raphael is shown to be married to a anthro wolf girl, who's non-mutant species is relieved later.
