I would say that it hasn't affected my somewhat "ordinary" lifestyle - no one knows about it at all, but what I fear the most is coming across someone I like and getting involved with them and then having to confront this issue of telling them what turns me on.

Reading on the earlier comments, I know some people are lucky enough to have partners that are willing to indulge one's fantasy but at the same time, it could all go horribly wrong.

Long story short, even if I do get involved with someone, I doubt that she'll ever know.
