The anime ends with a sneak-peak of Elfnein's new transformation device, posibly to be used in the next season (if there is one to begin with XD )

They've only just released the 3rd Blu-ray volume, and it seems the 4th

season is already likely confirmed:

Now, if I remember correctly, the device that was shown being analyzed at

the ending was something that Dr. Ver, a mad scientist character who acted

as a dark hero in this season and died, gave the protagonists. So I doubt it

has much to do with Elfnein, who's now become Carol , and her possible

symphogear transformation in the new season. Not to mention that, based on

how Elfnein has been acting like a scientist throughout this series, she might

just become a member working at the protagonists' headquarter in the R&D

department for symphogear equipments. However, Carol proved capable of

having a great singing skill and powering her suit just like other

symphogears. Therefore, I say there is a good chance that Elfnein+Carol

might create a symphogear device for her own by applying the knowledge of

the harp device and still transform into an adult either for the purpose of

joining the main heroines or for emergency.

A little update on this. It took two new seasons, but this actually happened in

this week's episode, kinda. Long story short, Elfnein was kidnapped by the

antagonists, was driven into a corner, and just before the episode ended, she

finally transformed using the same device Carol used. It seems the Carol

inside her decided to take over to protect her.


However, while there was a dedicated transformation sequence and

everything, her body didn't AP...? I don't know why, but she only got the

suit-up, making her look like a loli version of Carol's transformed appearance

from GX. Some people are speculating that it's due to several fans

responding negatively to her original AP TF back in the GX series(They seem

to have said stuffs like "Turn her back!"). But upon my research, there are

plenty of people who wanted adult Carol to be back as well. I feel like they

owe us an explanation for why she didn't grow, but we will just have to wait

until next week's episode, and I am just hoping that when she goes into

battle, she can still use AP as a power-boost feature.
