A lot of the comments here are the reason why I really don't want to bother doing anymore. Constructive criticism is great. I'm use to that. I do work on VFX, for a living. But when I just hear complaining and not actual input. Forget it. End of the day. This stuff costs money. And I knew the moment I bring that up. People would be getting annoyed. If you weren't, then I apologize. But that's how I see some of these comments. See everything in the video. And think about how much everything costed. Not to mention multiple duplicates to do different angles. Then using free time to put the video together. If you like to know. To do even basic tests on a new foot growth, is costing me $600 alone. Just incomplete tests. That's why I was stuck with using cheap stuff before. Fucking wasting my time here. Last edited by greeneyes23456; 06-05-2016 at 08:36 AM. |

Re: New growth video I just completed
You make it sound like we should be grateful. You owe nothing to us, and we to you. If you are that bothered by the resource investment to make something you want, then that is 100% your problem to deal with, not your audience. Do you think people go to a Michael Bay movie and factor in the budget when evaluating their experience? When has any audience thought of the cost in their media? The end product is all that matters.
I don't hate that someone complains or voices frustrations in private, but I do when they vent to their audience. Whether you realize it or not, you are playing the "This was hard, show some sympathy" game that I find distasteful. Successful people do not turn their audience into their support group. You chose to go forward with this. None of us are so stupid to think this doesn't cost money. That's why most keep it in the realm of ideas or keep the investment low. You decided to go big and put your vision out there, but maybe you didn't realize the price tag ahead of time. But if the cost was unreasonable for your situation, then that is on you. Don't gamble with the rent money. It is your broadcasted bitterness over the reality of what it took to make your project happen and what I now anticipate will be future complaints that is the problem, not anything else. I don't even want to know how this sausage was made now if you used your girlfriend's image in a fetish clip and posted it to PornHub.

Re: New growth video I just completed
I think it's kind of odd that some producers will post barely relevant, very poor quality things over and over, and over again without anything but some pics and a link to buy it, and almost no interaction with the group and it feels like nobody is allowed to criticize them but this comes along and is getting bashed.
Thank you for sharing your content here Greeneyes. Not many people do anymore for this exact reason.

No, he's not. As Mr GorpThorp pointed out, you're sharing with the community and actually interacting with us. We acknowledge that something like this is expensive, time-intensive, and there are limitations regarding talent, sfx, etc.
Listen, even though this particular clip doesn't tickle my fancy (I'm not much into FMG and the like), it's still an excellent contribution to the community. And, I know a lot of people are into shehulk stuff, so you possibly could get some backing to make more content. Don't let one habitually ill-tempered member deter you.

Re: New growth video I just completed
Up until he made that post, everyone except for LK was giving praise or at least constructive criticism, including me. Then after LK's post he acted as though if you didn't compliment him, you were bashing him. I take issue with that. I should be able to say "Good effects, but I need to see some more hints that there is a woman there and not you." If the only way he can think to do that is to put his girlfriend's full face in, then that's a failure of his creative ability.
Maybe this guy has plans of producing clips to sell one day. Some of you would rather blow smoke up his ass, have him invest more money, then try to sell clips only to see him fail and lose his investment just so you can avoid potentially (not even definitely) hurting his feelings now. That's not compassionate. That's cruel. And OP, you need to realize that some critics have barbs in their words. It's predictable and it should be factored into the response you expect. LK is always going to be harsh. That's how he is. That's a person whose criticism you're going to have to distill in order to get anything from, or just outright ignore all together. If you ever hope to be a producer, real experience has shown that your main obstacle is going to be piracy, not mean people. Real producers don't let harsh criticisms deter them. And if the subject of the growth really was a guy, then you really shouldn't be mad that not enough people fell for the illusion. Not mad at us at least. If you have no choice but to use yourself as subject, then at least let us know ahead of time. |

He's contributing something most will never attempt, and if they do, they'll fail horribly at it (see 85% of C4S). He needs to polish it, definitely, but there's nothing wrong with acknowledging that what he's doing is time-consuming and potentially expensive. Nor is giving him a pat on the back setting him up for failure, at least not in my eyes.

Re: New growth video I just completed
Keep in mind that just a short while ago, LK linked to a CG video that was honestly, very impressive.
ONE board member mentioned that adding clothes-ripping into the video would push it over the top for him, making it one of the best growth vids ever while simultaneously acknowledging how difficult that would be. A second poster also acknowldged that clothes ripping is incredibly difficult to do in 3-d. LK responded with: "Christ, the guy pulled off realistic animated reactions, body movement, and environmental physics from a woman in a car seat suddenly gaining mass in slowish growth spurts. Isn't that enough to say Great Jerb and not go barreling into ways it could be better?" Soooooo apparently, it's okay to just jump up and bash someone because you, yourself happen to not like how the artist has presented himself, but it's not alright to even provide constructive criticism on something that you happen to like? Honestly, this particular video, even though it's not really my cup of tea was really well done with some interesting effects and I look forward to seeing how your work evolves. Kudos.

I thought this was pretty decent for a first attempt. I hope you are willing to try again someday.

Re: New growth video I just completed
It's fun to see some real opinions for a change.
Mord, I can both hate the MOAR attitude calling for longer, thicker, tastier sausage and criticize how the sausage that does exist is made, especially when the butcher is so vocal about how much it costs to make the sausage.

This post, I can understand where you're coming from, but it was still a little unneccessary. At least he let people KNOW he was planning to charge for later videos, rather than giving this one for free, then making another and saying, "Yeah, you gotta pay for this one." ![]()
