From an older anime called Yaiba. IT is episode 49. A character names Kaguya possessed one of the heroines for much of the season and finally transforms into a giant "thing" after absorbing enough essence.

IDW Dungeons & Dragons comics have put out Evil at Baldur's Gate #3 and #4 (at least digitally, not sure about physically).
#3 has a bit of process of a female elf being mechanized (similar to the Phalanx from Marvel). It doesn't go too far, but it was unexpected and pretty interesting. #4 is the long-awaited Nerys werewolf issue.
