While that is a good guess, it's not what's happening. There will be more clues in the next chapter. Unfortunately, it will be delayed as I inadvertently entered into a story contest on another site by posting several chapters there. It's a year long contest so I didn't know it was going on. I now have until the 1st of next month to post 2 more chapters of that story.
