Your idea is quite interesting. To put it even more crude and create false hopes, her size could be programmed to decrease linearly, so that her size converges to zero as she approaches the end of the rule, which in turn is the point of restoration. It can be proven that she would never make it. She could approach as much as she wanted, getting also arbitrarily small, but she would never be able to reach the exact spot.
