I figured out that if I use tab and count I can hover over and select a button then when I press space I can activate the button. If I have the second version of this I don't have to worry too much about hovering over the button I don't want to click yet

Once you press tab, you can use the arrow keys or shift-tab to move focus between buttons, so you don't have to cycle through every button.
