Nothing bad about the AI "art" itself, but the problem is when someone is having monetary benefits from it, that simple, because you cannot sell what is not yours.
But this is really the tip of the iceberg. The real global issue is the usage of the data. That's why in the EU the authorities are more and more concerned about data in terms of privacy... and ownership of the data.
