Two British Fantasy Shows... With TF

The first I mentioned in passing Demons which has just finished a typically enormous run of six episodes on ITV. A whole ONE female transformation which is mostly offscreen... and into a harpy. It's not actually that bad.

The other, someone else took a moment to mention Being Human which has a werewolf (male, I'm afraid) as one of the core cast... and there was another werewolf... but he was also a guy.

But who knows, maybe he'll bite a girl.

So, all-in-all fairly bland shows and not much for the discerning FTF fan... your mileage may vary if you're into male werewolf stuff. An American Werwolf In London, this ain't.

So, do we have any clips of this "Demons" partial TF floating around yet, or is it too soon to hope to find that?

I'm afraid that, Being Hunan is slightly centered around the life and coping with the TF, and isn't always about it. Theres a vampire and ghost too. But the werewolf guy's life is the main part of it all. Imagine it as a sitcom with TF thrown in.

Being human is however exceptionally well written and really worth watching (terrible looking werewolf aside )

You think? I think it's pretty flat and mediocre - as I said.

Just not really grabbing me. Too much wangst, I guess but I think people should try for themselves.

Totally agree. Recasting and rewriting two main characters into "Hollyoaks" rejects after a decent pilot killed the series for me. Pilot was mediocre, now it's all american sit-com, "Friends" with monsters. Alot of the humour is forced and every detail seems to need endless over explanation... oh and the less said about "Demons" the better. not even as good as "Primevil" but lets leave it at that shall we. imho... of course.

The final werewolf costume isn't great but the actual process is excellent (and a very skillful blend of prosthetics and CGI that's better than anything in any recent werewolf movie), and those who can enjoy either sex having a good TF will be able to appreciate it.

OK... Being Human is fin... Overall, I really feel that most of the episodes could have been 30 minutes and lost little. It always felt as if they were padding out episodes...

Anyway, for those who haven't seen it. I am sorry to report - it's a negatory on female transformation... if it gets renewed, perhaps there will be but to say more would be spoilerish.
