The Bikini Contest (AR Comic)

20 pages, Color, US$7.99
Age Regression
Artwork by PalComix

This is a fun Age Regression comic that explores what happens when a group of sexy ladies competing in a bikini contest gets regressed by a rival. The artwork by Palcomix is very good.

Story Summary: A group of sexy ladies competing in a bikini contest try to steal Lauren’s boyfriend Bobby. Unfortunately for them, Lauren’s pheromones cause the rivals to get younger. The bikini babes go from bombshells to brats, as Lauren and the audience look on in amusement. A classic Age Regression comic that cuts right to the action!

Note: This is technically a sequel to A Growing Attraction, but is also a stand-alone comic that can be read by itself.

You can get more info and buy the comic here.

What are some differences between this comic and some of your others? I see Lauren, Bobby, beach, pheromones, no nudity...it seems like you have not merely traveled the beaten path, but steamrolled over all the foliage, laid cement, drawn stripes, and created a freeway out of your beaten path.

Perhaps next he'll put up a basketball court.

In all seriousness, there are two reasons one keeps producing the same content over and over: strong personal preference, or it sells. I suspect in DT's case it's likely a bit of both. But, hell, I don't blame him. I have every intention of writing a sequel to my best-selling eBook, because I enjoyed writing it and it made a bunch of money for me. I do hope we get another GTS/SW comic from him soon, but if folks are still buying this, he likely doesn't have much motivation to stop, you know?

I purchase the AR/AP and S.W. stuff by DT because I like the art, mostly, and I want to support him. I did the same for Jae's work.

That said, it's cute, but I agree with Soccer Mom. This universe requires more people. I often feel like I'm reading an alternate universe take of each of these characters where the same characters appear there are things that happen and then the next story comes out.

I'd love for at some point it to get Meta where Betsy remembers all the other's who were shrunk or deaged and they get their revenge on Lauren. **shrugs** Just a thought. I bought it, I read it. But so far the only comic I really like by DT was the first few installments of Yard Work because they were different.

It's the age old problem. Make something different enough to be interesting but same enough that sells.

Re: The Bikini Contest (AR Comic)

I haven't seen this one yet, but I plan to read it. I have every comic Dream tales has made, more of just wanting to collect more than anything. I have to say though, from the comments. I doubt this is going to be an exciting new one lol. I'll update my post though when I can make an informed decision on it.

Re: The Bikini Contest (AR Comic)

Thanks for the feedback, and I certainly understand your comments. I'll be the first to admit that I'm a bit overly obsessed with the Betsy / Lauren characters, although I've done a lot fewer of their comics than others like Suzy & Frank. And Betsy and Lauren have been and remain more popular than most other AR characters. Not every comic is ground breaking, but I think this one delivers nicely for AR fans.

I do have some completely new characters and situations coming up, mostly in GTS and SW. None of the AR scripts in process are about Betsy & Lauren, although I do plan to do at least one more in the future - I just really like them!

I'm always open to suggestions, so let me know if there's anything you'd particularly want to see...

Re: The Bikini Contest (AR Comic)

I read it and I liked it. Nice Works as always. I hoped there would be a last regression sequence at the contest at the end, but overall a good story and good art as always.

I dont mind Betsy and Lauren. At least, it doesent matter that much whos regressing or growing, so why not stick with the well known characters?

But I fully support Janus Steels idea and hope Betsy gets a little revenge some day. Its kinda like Tom and Jerry. From time to time you feel so sorry for Tom getting beaten up always you would allow him a small victory

I think what I'd like to see happen some time in the future, is to maybe hold a contest or something. Write the best age regression/age progression story. Process MUST involve females as the main target. The winner gets to have a full comic drawn and sold on Dreamtales. Could maybe even throw in a percentage for the author or something. But your going to need new content soon and Lauren and Betsy. Though some of there situations are hilarious, are beginning to get stale. I think a lot of other people are really wanting to see fresher content and see new story lines emerge. Getting fresh talent through a contest may be the way to go about it.

Re: The Bikini Contest (AR Comic)

I haven't bought this one, dunno on it.

Do feel like its worth making a comment and its primarily a palcomix issue but: Every guy in these ends up having the same supermuscle physique, and there's little variety in the women as well (but at least some). It's actually kinda distracting "normal gal, babe, normal gal, ridiculously chisled mess of muscle, regressed gal, another ridiculously chisled mess of muscle".

Like if they were bearing simple physiques it wouldn't stand out much but instead they look like they spend 20 hours a day in the gym, for every one that shows up. I get that its basically fanservice the other way, but it'd be just as sort of odd if all the side characters walked by with J-cup breasts.

At this point it just throws me off, since it sort of suggests a lazy 'look at my generic porn characters' angle, then sharing a sexy TF story in some setting.

I've said this to you guys many times and I will do it again. My favorite comic from your group is and still is, "The Big Splash" http://www.dreamtalescomics.com/Blog/2011/splash/ I love to see another one done since I like seeing younger girls growing into Giantess, though I could have done with out the AP a little :/ Since young girls becoming giantess are fun because they are completely unpredictable. You don't know how they will sway and are more likely to believe this is a dream than the older age. But I can't complain too much, since I still enjoyed it greatly and there isn't enough GTS/Age Swap out there. Other than that, I do have to agree with the others that some of your work, especially your AR/AP work is getting a little repetitive :/ Like what was stated above from others. Another one for me personally that is getting repetitive is Yard Work. It's starting to fill stale since I figured it would have ended by now, plus I would like to see his bratty sister get some punishment that lasts all the way to the end. I really hate his sister ^^; Though his girlfriend needs to grow more and his mom a lot less. Nothing against her, I think she is good looking, but I like to see his sister and girlfriend get most of the growing while his sister gets knocked down a few pegs.

All I can understand the rule of, personal taste and if it makes cash, why stop? But at times, it's nice to break the mold and try new things to keep things fresh. Because if you don't try new things, than you will eventually lose the whole audience. Since I agree with all the Muscle growth and regressing age and same characters returning again and again. It's kind of like how ZZZ comics has problems with too much sex, it's nice but too much of something can be bad. Since I know sex does play a part in this thing we call a Fetish, but most people who are into GTS and the likes want more of the fetish and less of the porn. Though I know quite a few will disagree with me, but porn is nice alright... But if it's GTS, it should focus mostly on that and not sex all the time.

But all and all, I like DreamTales and your comics, though I only like your GTS comics and some of your AP comics. But that is just my opinion and no one elses. I look forward to what you have in store later down the road.
