The Process Forum Soundtrack
{EDIT} This post is pretty old now, so I just want to make it clear that I intend to continue collecting process-themed music and making it available in this thread. {/EDIT}
So, I've recently gotten decently good at finding mp3s online, and during my browser-crashing download binge I came across a few old favorites of mine that seem to have suggestive themes. It got me thinking, and I wondered if we could put together a soundtrack for The Process Forum. I've gotten six songs together that I think make a good start, and uploaded them to divshare. So, here we go: Obviously, no song comes to mind as more appropriate than David Bowie's "Changes", but it's particularly suited for AP fans. Secondly, the preponderance of Nipponese media here suggests "Turning Japanese", by The Vapors. After that I've got three songs for the TG crowd- which I'm in, thank you. "Androgyny", and "Cherry Lips" by the esteemed Garbage and their genderbent frontwoman Shirley Manson; and "Kate", a charmingly innocent switch wish by the Ben Folds Five. Finally, there's Linkin Park's "Crawling", which I have always felt evoked a classic horror movie TF scene. Does anybody else have any ideas? Files would help too, of course. P.S. - Oh, and I know somebody is going to suggest Aerosmith's "Dude Looks Like A Lady", and I did think of it, but I decided against it after downloading it and listening to it carefully- it's pretty much explicitly about a transvestite, and what I like about all these other songs is that they are ambiguous enough that they could in fact be talking about actual transformation. UPDATED: Current Process Soundtrack Listing Light Side: Sheryl Crow - A Change Would Do You Good David Bowie - Changes Ben Folds Five - Kate Garbage - Androgyny The Vapors - Turning Japanese Garbage - Cherry Lips Lords of Acid - I Must Increase My Bust Aqualung - I'll Put A Spell On You Dark Side: Screaming Jay Hawkins - I Put A Spell On You Linkin Park - Crawling Metallica - Of Wolf And Man Three Days Grace - Animal I Have Become Guitar Wolf - Planet of the Wolves Last edited by Very_Good_Karma; 11-07-2007 at 11:07 PM. Roky Erickson's "Cold Night for Alligators" is about people who become alligators at nightfall (I think).
And "Planet Of The Wolves" by Guitar Wolf has a lot of ambiance, drums, and wolf howling. |

I'm sorry, but there is only one song that fits for this forum, and everything in it.

Oh, Damn that's a good idea, Kricket. I'm gonna go look for an mp3 of that...
I've been debating whether Shania Twain's "Man! I Feel like a Woman!" fits. There's no overt reference to change, but the song's infectiousness often has the comedic effect of tempting men to sing totally gender-inapproporiate lyrics. |

Isn't there a good Weird Al song for this soundtrack?
"I think I'm a clone now" "The Truck Song" "You're Pitiful" Sorry. just throwing suggestions. Think everyone would just turn back to normal with the "Song of Healing" from LoZMM? (Thinks about it...) YAY! Free masks! |
