We don't though. You consider it a death because she transformed into a tree and she died in some existential way due to her personality ceasing to be. But it's actually a death because a tree grew out of her and caused her to explode. It's not a transformation at all. It's the difference between saying someone was transformed into ashes vs someone being burned to death until there was only ashes left after their gruesome demise. |
